RECET Newsletter #3
The RECET project has released the third and final edition of the RECET newsletter, bringing together stories, insights and lessons from the project’s work to support rural and island communities in Europe’s clean energy transition.
The final issue highlights experiences from partners across Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Slovenia and Spain, with a focus on how local and regional authorities can turn climate and energy ambitions into practical action. It features examples of local energy planning, stakeholder engagement, emissions accounting and community-based approaches to the energy transition.
Several articles reflect on the importance of building local capacity and collaboration, showing how municipalities and regional actors can work together to develop solutions that respond to local needs and circumstances.
As RECET comes to an end, the newsletter also looks at some of the key lessons from the project — from the value of local engagement and co-creation to the importance of practical tools and long-term commitment.
At its core, RECET has shown that the clean energy transition is not only about technology and infrastructure, but also about people, participation and the capacity to turn plans into action.
