Workshop for energy accounting system implementation

In October 2024, CIMe hosted a dedicated workshop at its offices bringing together staff from all eight municipalities on the island, along with representatives from the Waste and Energy Consortium. The purpose of the meeting was to officially kick off the implementation of a new software solution for energy accounting, marking an important step forward in improving how municipalities monitor and manage their energy use.

Representatives from the software provider also attended the workshop to introduce the platform, demonstrate its key features, and answer practical questions from municipal staff. This hands-on introduction ensured that all participants gained a clear understanding of how the application can be used in their day-to-day operations.

The new software enables beneficiaries to accurately track energy consumption and related costs, providing better oversight of energy supplies and payments. By strengthening data quality and transparency, the tool supports more informed decision-making and long-term planning. The implementation of this system is one of the concrete actions planned within the RECET project, contributing to more efficient and sustainable energy management across the participating municipalities.
