The RECET project has gained international recognition through a feature in the latest issue of EU Research, a publication highlighting the achievements, impact and innovation of European research and collaboration projects.

Being featured in EU Research marks an important milestone for RECET and strengthens the project’s visibility at an international level. It provides an opportunity to showcase the work carried out by the project partners and to share RECET’s experience with a wider European audience interested in the clean energy transition and sustainable regional development.

The article explores RECET’s objectives, the challenges addressed through the project, and the value of cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration. It highlights how partners from different countries, organisations and sectors have worked together to develop practical approaches that can support the clean energy transition, reduce carbon emissions and strengthen more sustainable and resilient energy systems.

Ottó Elíasson, Managing Director of Eimur, and Marianne Raes from New Energy share their perspectives on the importance of the project and the role of collaboration in addressing complex energy challenges. They also discuss how RECET’s experience and results can contribute to the development of energy systems and regional energy planning, both in Iceland and across Europe.

The feature provides RECET with valuable international visibility and creates new opportunities to share the project’s results, experience and lessons learned with policymakers, industry representatives, researchers and other stakeholders. By reaching a broader audience, RECET can contribute to the wider discussion on how regions and communities can play an active role in shaping Europe’s sustainable energy future.
